Introduction to quiche (keesh) 101.

بسمم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Assalamu'alaikum. I sincerely hope every aspect of your life is in the best of state. The reason I am writing this is to introduce to you and tell you what quiche is all about, hence, my little business that I started a few weeks ago.

Quiche (pronounced as 'keesh') is a French word. But the Germans were the ones who started it. Its from the word 'kuchen' which means cake. The way I would describe it is like this.... you have pie on one end, and lasagne on the other, quiche is in the middle. Its an open-top pastry, with fillings such as beef, vegetables, chicken, cheese (yummy) etc.

But why did I start the business? Hmmm, there use to be an Italian restaurant nearby my house. They use to sell quiche and I would normally order that if my family went there. The tastiest quiche ever. Thing is its not there anymore, they moved without telling me, leaving me all alone and broken hearted. =) So I tasted other quiches, but they were not the same. So I started making them. I love them for three reasons:

1) Healthy
2) Tasty
3) No time for it (meaning you can have it for breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner, supper)

Alhamdulillah, all praises belongs to Allah, I started the business almost a month ago. There has been orders every week. I asked for the feedbacks and got a lot in return. I am still in my try out stages, so that is why I asked for feedbacks. After several orders, I improvised on my quiche. Here were some of the feedbacks and positive criticisms that I received:

1) Make it spicy (to suit the malays)
2) Pastry needed to be crunchier
3) More cheese (cheese lovers of course)
4) Have varieties

You can have a look at some of the pictures....here you go

Its home-made quiche everyone. It is very suitable for:

1) Gatherings.
2) Tea
3) Present
4) Reconciliation of a fight.

Now, I have varieties of quiche...they are:

1) Beef - Big RM65 Small RM25
2) Chicken - B RM65 S RM25
3) Vegetarian - B RM60 S RM20
4) Salmon - B RM75 S RM35
